Over the past two weekends, eight Texas middle school teams qualified to attend the 2018 NAQT Middle School National Championship event in Chicago on Mother’s Day Weekend. The eight qualifiers are: Beck, Cistercian, Coppell West, Fulmore, Greenhill, Holy Family, Kinkaid, and St. Mark’s.
In the nation’s first middle grades event of the season on September 16th, Bayou City, Kinkaid outlasted Beck 290-230. At the Falcon Fest in Austin on the 23rd, Holy Family edged Fulmore A in the final with an exciting 355-345 win. In Dallas on the 23rd at the Hornet Hullabaloo, the top Greenhill team decisively defeated St. Mark’s 535-90. Additionally the Coppell West and Cistercian semi-finalist teams from the Dallas event also qualified for nationals.
