From July 31st through August 6th, 36 Texas students attended the 2nd annual Texas Quiz Bowl camp held at the Tradition dorm in College Station. Students attended two classes daily (chosen from: American History, American Literature, Biology, British Literature, Mixed History, Mixed Sciences, Religion & Thinkers, Visual Art) and extensively practiced quiz bowl strategy and skills.
During the 2011 camp students received more than 13 hours of category-specific classroom instruction, played more than 10 hours of tournament matches, participated in more than 8 hours of directed practice, and engaged in more than 4 hours of strategy discussion.
Texas Quiz Bowl will host its third annual camp next summer from July 29th through August 4th. Additional details for the camp are available here.
