In June, the team of Thomas Littrell (2011, LASA), Benji Nguyen (2011, LASA), Daniel Chapman (2012, Seven Lakes), Roger Cain (2013, LASA), and Carlo de Guzman (2014, Seven Lakes) won the 2nd Annual National All-Star Academic Tournament. The team finished three games ahead of 2nd place Illinois and brought the 1st place trophy back to Texas. The Texas team is coached by Chris Romero. Here is a link to tournament stats.
The tryout process for the 2012 All-State team will commence at the 2011 Texas Quiz Bowl camp which will be held from July 31st through August 6th this summer in College Station, Texas and continue throughout the regular season. The 2012 team will be announced at our State Championship on May 5th.
